This is my third photo boat trip with Bob and I am already looking forward to next year.  He is a very experienced Captain, Guide and photographer himself so he knows what we are looking to accomplish.  He makes it a safe, fun and successful trip out every time. There is no other way to get bird in flight shots like this. ...Patti Grosh (2016)

Bob is very personable and makes the trip very enjoyable.  As a guide he is constantly giving shooting tips as well as pointing out when birds are interesting to shoot, or  getting shots of birds in flight.  What a great trip we had to view the chicks on the rookery.” ...Gary Wong (2015) “

“If you're interested in capturing wonderful photos of nesting birds in Southwest Florida, then Capt Bob Salyer's" Photos by Boat Tour" is the one for you! Plenty of room on the boat, exciting photo opportunities, and he points out upcoming photo opportunities as birds are coming back to the rookery with nesting material as well. Captain Bob points out where, even in the most obscure parts of the rookery, you may see some interesting chances to capture young birds in their nests. A most memorable experience, embedded in one's mind, and captured on one's camera! You won't be disappointed!” ...Jack Migliore (2015)

Thank you for day: AWESOME!!  Besides guiding us to places of great shooting subjects, morning Starbuck's coffee, a delicious lunch and the help on camera settings. With all the new information and adrenalin from today's adventure we took off to the Clay Gully road close to the Myaaka north gate to relocate the pair of Sandhill Cranes/2 colts. Perfect light, better settings and there they were. Spectacular shots ... canvas worthy; separation of the mom and two colts following each other - each with perfect eye and catch light. Thanks Bob.  It was like seeking, photographing the big 5 in Africa! Yes to the Eagles by the church in the morning and to Fort Desoto. When all is processed will share our photos.  Stay healthy, enjoy the remaining boat tours and have a fun summer...Ann & Tommy (2015)

“I want to thank you for a most enjoyable and educational morning at the Dot-Dash Rookery.  I learned a great deal and had a marvelous time.   I certainly still have a lot to learn about things (like ISO settings), but Friday's trip taught me much.”  ...Bill Fehring  (2014)

“Thanks so much for a great outing yesterday.  It was the only my 3rd time to use my long lens and my first experience at photographing moving birds.  When we first got to the location and began shooting, I found it awkward and difficult to locate and track the birds in flight.  Your guidance with camera settings and alerting us to incoming birds was very helpful.  By the end of the morning, I was feeling like I was getting the hang of getting the birds in my viewfinder and tracking them in.  I have a lot to learn, but in photography, getting the practice is a lot of fun.

You provide a great service that is obviously very desired as is evidenced by your filled field trips and you are wonderful with your clients.  Thank you and I look forward to accompanying you on another great adventure soon.  Thanks for any helpful suggestions you may have.”  Warmly, Patti Grosh -2014

“This was a birthday present to me from me.....and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have wanted to get super pictures of birds ever since I got into photography 4 years ago. It was a delight to see so many beautiful birds in one spot and to get photos that I will cherish forever. Thanks for being there for the group that came today!”  ...Marty Dove (2013)

“Bob, thank you for a great morning taking pictures.  The opportunity to get so close to the Roseate Spoonbills in the rookery and in flight was wonderful; I’ve wanted to take good pictures of them for years.  I can’t believe the number of good shots I got; the lighting was great.  Your help with my camera was an added bonus.  I am looking forward to the next boat trip.” ...Joan B. (2013)

“Saturday was my birthday and my wife gave me a birthday gift of take your best buddy and go on a photo shoot.  I chose to sign my buddy John and I up for the a Bob Salyers Photography "Photo Boat" trip to the Bradenton Rookery.  Captain Bob took us to the rookery and kept us in position around the island for two hours.  I shot over 500 images of the wood storks, roseate spoonbills, egrets, cormorants and anhingas who call this rookery home.  Bob's handling and positioning of the boat was superb.  This trip far exceeded my expectations and brings you so close to the rookery that even a 300mm lens was too long.  Thanks Bob for making #71 a birthday to remember.” ...George Case (2013)

“Great shoot, good advice, a wonderful morning.  Bob’s Boat is a great way to go for bird close ups.”  ....Tom Mcgee (2013)

”One on one with Bob Salyers is a great experience. I have taken photos as a hobby for years. Now as a leader of a nonprofit I need to use my hobby to further our cause.  I shoot hundreds of photos in order to get 1 or 2 good shots. Bob helped me to understand how the camera thinks so that I can take fewer photos to achieve the results that I need for a perfect shot.  Thanks, Bob, for setting me on the right track for success. I can't wait to take your classes.” ... Debi Frock, Executive Director, Ghanaian Mothers' Hope (2012)

“Hey Bob, thanks for making my childhood dream come true, Yellowstone. Great trip, fun time, and fantastic shots!!!” ... Bobbie Grant (2012)

“It was a wonderful trip to Yellowstone with Bob. This tour with Bob had accommodations close to the park in Gardiner. MT, we could see the Roosevelt Arch from our hotel room door. Each day we witnessed Bison herds, single Bison and juveniles practicing for the rut. Elk with one male we named Big Boy who attacked cars in Mammoth Sprints and provided us with some great photos. Coyotes hunting and even though they were far away some wolf and bear. Thanks for the experiences Bob.” - Susan Karski (2012)

“Had a great time, been editing pics since I got home.  Will send you a few in next day or so, first go around deleted 784, working on the "other" 442!!!  Again, thanks for a great morning.  Enjoyed it.” .... Susan Bailey (2012)
